At AKG we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information during the recruitment process. This Recruitment Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your data in accordance with applicable federal, North Carolina, and South Dakota employment and data privacy laws.

We collect this information directly from you or from third-party sources you authorize (e.g., background screening providers).

 

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected only for recruitment and hiring purposes, including:

  • Coordinating interviews, assessments, and job offers
  • Conducting background and reference checks (where permitted by law and with proper notice)
  • Complying with applicable federal, NC, and SD employment laws

  • HR and hiring teams within AKG

Your data is never sold. Access is limited to only those who need it for authorized business or compliance purposes.

Applicant data will be retained only as long as necessary to:

  • Comply with state and federal recordkeeping requirements (e.g., 1–3 years depending on position and location)
  • Consider you for future roles
  • Defend against legal claims, if necessary
