AcqCentric Candidate Privacy & Text Messaging Policy

AcqCentric (“AcqCentric,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of job applicants and candidates and is committed to protecting the personal information provided to us during the recruiting and hiring process.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect candidate information, including information collected through our careers site, job applications, interview scheduling, recruiting communications, and SMS/text messaging facilitated through Paylocity.

1. Information We May Collect

During the recruiting and hiring process, we may collect information that you voluntarily provide, including:

  • Name and contact information, including your email address and mobile telephone number;
  • Resume, employment history, education, certifications, qualifications, and skills;
  • Information submitted through a job application;
  • Interview availability and scheduling information;
  • Communications with our recruiters, Human Resources personnel, or hiring managers;
  • Information regarding positions for which you apply or express interest;
  • References and other employment-related information; and
  • Other information you choose to provide during the recruiting or hiring process.

Where permitted by law and applicable to the position, additional information required for background screening, employment eligibility, onboarding, or legal and regulatory compliance may be collected through appropriate secure processes.

Candidates should not send Social Security numbers, banking information, medical information, or other highly sensitive personal information by text message.

2. How We Use Candidate Information

We may use candidate information to:

  • Review and evaluate applications and qualifications;
  • Communicate regarding employment opportunities;
  • Schedule and confirm interviews;
  • Provide application and hiring-status updates;
  • Respond to candidate questions;
  • Coordinate recruiting activities and next steps;
  • Conduct lawful pre-employment screening or employment verification, when applicable;
  • Complete hiring and onboarding activities;
  • Maintain appropriate recruiting and employment records; and
  • Comply with applicable legal, contractual, regulatory, and recordkeeping requirements.

Candidate information is not used for unrelated consumer advertising or marketing.

3. Candidate Text Messaging

AcqCentric may use SMS/text messaging through Paylocity or another authorized recruiting communication service to communicate with candidates about recruiting and employment-related matters.

Text messages may include:

  • Application confirmations or updates;
  • Interview invitations, scheduling, and reminders;
  • Requests to contact a recruiter or hiring manager;
  • Information about job opportunities;
  • Recruiting follow-up communications;
  • Hiring or onboarding instructions; and
  • Other communications directly related to your candidacy or potential employment.

By voluntarily providing your mobile telephone number and opting in to receive recruiting text messages, you consent to receive employment and recruiting-related text messages from AcqCentric.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive text messages is voluntary and is not a condition of applying for or obtaining employment with AcqCentric.

4. Opting Out of Text Messages

You may opt out of candidate text messaging at any time by replying STOP to a text message from us.

After opting out, you will no longer receive recruiting text messages through that messaging service unless you later choose to opt in again.

Opting out of text messaging will not negatively affect your application or consideration for employment. We may continue to contact you through other methods, such as email or telephone, when appropriate.

5. How We Share Candidate Information

AcqCentric does not sell candidate personal information or mobile telephone information.

We may disclose candidate information only as reasonably necessary to support legitimate recruiting, hiring, employment, legal, or business purposes, including to:

  • Authorized AcqCentric employees and representatives involved in recruiting and hiring;
  • Service providers that support our recruiting, applicant tracking, human resources, communications, background screening, or related business functions;
  • Government agencies, regulators, courts, or other parties when disclosure is required or permitted by law; or
  • Other parties when authorized by the candidate or otherwise permitted by applicable law.

Mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and text messaging consent information will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Service providers may process candidate information only as necessary to provide services supporting AcqCentric's recruiting and employment activities.

6. Paylocity and Other Service Providers

AcqCentric uses Paylocity to support portions of its recruiting and human resources processes, including candidate communications.

Candidate information may therefore be processed or maintained through Paylocity and other authorized service providers used to administer AcqCentric's recruiting and hiring activities.

These service providers have access to candidate information only as necessary to perform services on behalf of AcqCentric and subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

7. Data Security

AcqCentric uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect candidate information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse.

No electronic communication or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Candidates should therefore avoid transmitting highly sensitive personal or financial information through ordinary text messages or email unless specifically directed to an appropriate secure method.

8. Data Retention

Candidate information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Complete the recruiting and hiring process;
  • Consider candidates for current or future employment opportunities;
  • Maintain appropriate employment and recruiting records;
  • Meet contractual, regulatory, or legal requirements; and
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.

Information that is no longer required will be handled in accordance with applicable laws and AcqCentric's records-management and retention practices.

9. Candidate Choices and Privacy Requests

Candidates may request that AcqCentric review or correct certain personal information maintained as part of the recruiting process, subject to applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping requirements.

Candidates may also withdraw their consent to text messaging at any time by replying STOP.

Privacy or recruiting-related questions may be directed to AcqCentric Human Resources using the contact information provided by the company.

10. Changes to This Policy

AcqCentric may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our recruiting practices, technology, legal requirements, or services.

When the policy is updated, the revised effective date will appear at the top of this page.
