Employee Application and Information Retention Policy
The Company is committed to protecting the privacy of employment applicants in regard to the collection, use, and retention of information obtained during the employee selection process. This notice of our privacy practices is intended to inform you of the procedures the Company has implemented to protect your privacy.
During the employee selection process a conditional job offer may be made subject to the applicant successfully satisfying certain drug, medical, credit, and criminal background screenings. This process may require certain information including the applicant’s social security number, birth date and/or driver license number.
Information obtained during the employment selection process will be used by the Company for the sole purpose of conducting applicant screening. This information will not be provided to marketers, used for profiling, or other similar use. The Company may provide the information to government officials, at their request, or use the information to conduct screening if the applicant applies for another position within the Company.
Prior to employment, all employment applications submitted to the Company will be retained by the Employee Services Department until being transferred to the hiring department management. Additional information, including social security number, birth date, and/or driver license number, collected for the purpose of applicant screening will be maintained by the Loss Prevention Department. Information used to conduct applicant screening will only be provided to the hiring department, as needed, during the employee selection process.
Applications collected from applicants not hired will be held by the Employee Services Department until the end of the current operating season or three months, whichever is greater. At the end of the operating season, applications will be destroyed. Additional information and/or results from applicant screening will be retained for three months if the applicant is not hired.
If hired, all information (application and any additional information gathered during the employee selection process) will be retained in the employee’s personnel file for the duration of their employment, plus one calendar year.
