PURPOSE

To outline the digital information practices of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Midwestern) and how information is collected and used. 

POLICY

Collection of Information

This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on the Midwestern proprietary website. The types of personal information which may be collected includes, but is not limited to:

· Name

· Address

· Email address

· Phone Number

· Credit/Debit Card Information (as needed)

Information Uses

Information provided when placing a request is used for the request purposes only. Personal information is not shared outside parties necessary to complete the request, or for one-time use by vetted and authorized members of vendors offering products and/or services to the Midwestern community.

Midwestern may use this information to provide offerings which may be of interest.

Email addresses are used to answer email received. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

Non-identifying and aggregate information may be utilized to provide improvements to our website or to with our advertisers. 

· For example, we may tell an advertiser - ‘X’ number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or ‘Y’ number of men and ‘Z’ number of women filled out a specific form

· Information which may be used to identify individuals will not be disclosed.

Identifiable information provided online in ways unrelated to those described above is not shared without providing the user the opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online have been established and maintained.

How to Access or Correct Information

All personally identifiable information collected online and maintained by Midwestern may be accessed by contacting info@mbts.edu. This procedure is designed to better safeguard all personal and identifiable information.

Corrections to any errors in personally identifiable information may be submitted by sending a request at info@mbts.edu. Documentation to show the credibility of the error will be required.

To protect your privacy and security, steps to verify your identity will be taken before corrections are processed.
