Recruitment Privacy Notice

Security Credit Union (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal information collected from candidates and applicants during the hiring process.

This notice describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information submitted through our employment application system, hosted by Paylocity, and applies to candidates nationwide.


 

1. Information We Collect

We may collect and process the following categories of personal information:
       - Identification & Contact Information: Full name, address, phone number, email, date of birth, Social Security number (as needed for pre-employment screening).
       - Application Materials: Resume, employment history, education, licenses, certifications, cover letter, references.
       - Sensitive Information (where permitted by law): Demographic data (e.g., race, gender, veteran status), background check data, or work eligibility status.
       - Technical Information: IP address, browser type, time zone, and usage data while accessing our application platform.


 

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information may be used for the following purposes:
       - To assess your qualifications and eligibility for employment.
       - To communicate with you during the recruitment process.
       - To conduct reference checks or background screenings (where legally permitted).
       - To comply with legal and regulatory obligations (e.g., EEOC, OFCCP, FCRA).
       - To improve our recruitment and diversity efforts.


 

3. Sharing of Information

We may share your personal information with:
       - Authorized personnel involved in the hiring process.
       - Third-party service providers, such as Paylocity and background check vendors, under contract to support our recruitment efforts.
       - Government authorities or regulators, as required by law or legal process.
 

We do not sell your personal information.


 

4. Retention

We retain applicant data for a period consistent with applicable laws, typically 3 years for compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and other federal requirements. If you are hired, your data will be transferred to your employment file and subject to our employee data privacy practices.

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:
       - The right to access or request a copy of your data.
       - The right to correct inaccurate information.
       - The right to request deletion (subject to legal obligations).
       - The right to limit use of sensitive personal information (California residents).
