Recruiting Privacy Policy

First Capital Bank (“we”, “our” or “us) is committed to fair data protection practices, including when processing the personal information of individuals who apply for employment opportunities with us. This Policy outlines how an applicant’s personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by us with respect to the employment application process.

 

1. Personal Information Collected

We, or our third-party service providers, may collect the following categories of personal information about applicants:

· Identifying Information: Full name, address, phone number, email address, and date of birth.

· Employment and Education Information: Resume, employment history, educational background, references, job referral source, desired compensation, and other voluntarily disclosed information in the applicants resume or cover letter. 

· Employment Eligibility: Confirmation of valid authorization to work in the U.S.

· Criminal Background: Disclosure of misdemeanor or felony convictions.

· Consumer Report and Employment Verification Information: County, Federal, and National Criminal Searches; Sex Offender Search; Social Security Number Trace; Global Watchlist Search; Credit Report; Motor Vehicle Report; employment verification with a 5-year lookback.

· Voluntary EEOC Self Reporting: Gender, race, disability and veteran status; collected solely for mandated EEO-1 filing purposes.

We, or our third-party service providers, also may automatically collect certain information from applicants:

· Browser and Device Information: When you apply for a job, we will collect certain information that is automatically collected by most websites, such as information about your device and your browser. For example, we may receive device identifiers such as your IP address and MAC address, operating system type and version, and Internet browser type and version. 

· Information Stored in Cookies, Pixels Web Beacons, and Other Similar Technologies: We may also use available web-based technologies to collect information about your use of our website, such as cookies or web beacons. A “cookie” is a unique numeric code that is transferred to your device to track your interests and preferences and to recognize you as a return visitor. A “web beacon” is a transparent graphic image placed on a website, email, or advertisement that enables the monitoring of things such as user activity and site traffic. We use these and other similar technologies to collect information such as browser type, transactions and interactions, time spent on the online services, pages visited, referring URL, and other traffic and usage data. We may use this information to determine what features interest our users, revise our site features or operations, and as further described below. We and other parties that provide these technologies may also use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services. · Information Collected in Connection with Analytics Technology: We may use various technologies to learn more about how visitors use our website, such as Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyze how visitors use our website. The information generated by the cookies about your use of our website includes your IP address. If you so choose, you may be able to opt out by turning off cookies in the preferences settings in your browser. We may also use other technologies to monitor your activities on our website.

 

2. How We Use Your Information

· To process and evaluate your job application; communicate with you during and about the recruitment process; and to streamline our recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes.

· To assess your qualification for the role applied for and/or other open positions/future opportunities.

· To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

 

3. How We Use and Disclose Your Information

Your information may be shared with:

· The Hiring Manager, HR personnel, and other employees involved in the recruitment process.

· To our affiliates who are associated with us through common ownership. 

· Third-party vendors, such as our HRIS and background check provider, who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality.

· To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal information. When it is necessary for the Human Resources Department to disclose applicant information to non HR personnel (i.e. to the Hiring Manager, compliance personnel, or executive leadership) it is done so on a strictly need to know basis. 

 

4. Your Rights

You have control over your personal information, including:

· You may choose not to provide the personal information we request. However, not providing information may limit our ability to assess your qualifications for employment with us.

· You may be able to restrict the collection of personal information or functionality through your device’s operating system or by disabling cookies but doing so may prevent you form using the functionality of the website or the job application. 

· Some Internet browsers have a “do-not-track” feature that lets you tell websites that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. Currently, our website does not respond to browser “do-not-track” signals. Other parties may collect personal information about your online activity over time and across different websites, applications, and other online products or services when you use our website or apply for a job.
