Spectrum Security Services, Inc.
Candidate Text Messaging Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 10/15/2026
1. Purpose and Scope
Spectrum Security Services, Inc. (“Spectrum,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses Candidate Texting powered by Paylocity to communicate with individuals who have submitted information in response to Spectrum job postings and have opted in to receive recruiting text messages.
This policy explains how Spectrum collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information associated with those communications. It covers recruiting text messages and related messaging records. It is not a comprehensive privacy notice for all job applications, background checks, employee records, or other employment processes.
2. Information We Collect
In connection with recruiting text messages, we may collect and maintain:
We obtain this information from you, from information you submit through our recruiting application process, and from records generated through the messaging service.
3. How We Use Your Information
Spectrum uses information covered by this policy only for recruiting and hiring-related purposes, including communicating about job opportunities, following up on applications, scheduling interviews, providing hiring-status updates, coordinating pre-employment appointments, and communicating next steps in the hiring process.
Where included in your texting consent, we may also contact you about the same or similar Spectrum positions in the future, including positions for which Spectrum recruits on an ongoing basis.
We also use this information to maintain recruiting records, document and honor communication preferences, administer and protect the recruiting messaging program, and satisfy related legal and recordkeeping obligations.
We do not use information collected through this program to advertise consumer products, promote unrelated services, or conduct unrelated marketing.
4. Voluntary Participation and Messaging Choices
Spectrum sends recruiting text messages only to candidates who have affirmatively opted in. Providing a telephone number or submitting an application does not, by itself, constitute enrollment in Spectrum’s texting program.
Texting is voluntary. Declining to receive texts or later opting out will not adversely affect your consideration for employment. You may continue communicating with Spectrum through available non-text methods, such as telephone or email.
Message frequency varies. Your wireless provider may charge message or data fees.
To stop receiving recruiting texts, reply STOP to a message. For messaging assistance, reply HELP or contact Spectrum using the information below. You may receive a final message confirming that your opt-out request was received.
You may also ask Spectrum to stop texting by contacting opt_out@spectrumdetentionservices.com or otherwise clearly communicating your request. We will honor requests promptly and within applicable legal deadlines. Once your request is processed, we will not resume recruiting texts unless you provide new permission.
Opting out of text messages does not automatically withdraw your application or delete records that Spectrum must retain.
5. Access to and Disclosure of Information
Spectrum does not sell or rent the personal information covered by this policy. We do not provide your mobile telephone number, text-message content, or texting consent to third parties or affiliates for their own advertising, promotional, or unrelated purposes. Your permission to receive Spectrum recruiting texts is not transferred to another organization for its own messaging.
Within Spectrum, access is limited to authorized personnel who need the information for recruiting, hiring, onboarding coordination, or necessary administration and compliance.
Outside Spectrum, texting-related information is processed by Paylocity and the providers needed to deliver and support the messaging service. These may include telecommunications carriers, messaging intermediaries, and authorized technical or customer-support subcontractors. Such processing supports the operation, delivery, security, and administration of the recruiting messaging service. Paylocity’s published messaging privacy terms recognize these service-provider arrangements.
Spectrum may also disclose relevant information when required by applicable law, a court order, or other binding legal process, and to legal counsel when necessary to address recruiting-related legal obligations or claims.
6. Sensitive Information and Document-Upload Links
Please do not send Social Security numbers, financial-account information, medical information, identification documents, or sensitive background-check information in the body of a text message or as a text-message attachment.
When documents are needed, Spectrum will provide a secure link for uploading documents through an authorized document-upload service. Use the designated upload process rather than sending sensitive information or documents by text.7. Information Security
Spectrum uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect recruiting information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Access to recruiting communications and uploaded documents is limited according to personnel responsibilities and business need.
No method of electronic communication or storage can be guaranteed completely secure. Please protect access to your device, do not forward document-upload links to unauthorized persons, and contact Spectrum if you believe a message or upload request may not be legitimate.
8. Record Retention
Spectrum retains recruiting text messages and related records for the periods required by applicable law and for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the recruiting, administrative, and legal purposes described in this policy.
Records may also be retained longer when required by other applicable legal obligations or a legal hold.
Opting out of text messages does not require the immediate deletion of your application, message history, or other records that Spectrum is required to preserve. We may retain limited consent and opt-out information to document your choices and prevent further unwanted texts.
When information is no longer needed for the purposes described in this policy or applicable retention obligations, Spectrum will arrange for its secure deletion or disposal through the applicable record-management process.
9. Questions, Requests, and Contact Information
You may contact Spectrum to ask questions about this policy, update your contact information, change your communication preferences, or request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with the recruiting texting program.
Spectrum will review and respond to requests in accordance with applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before providing or changing personal information. Requests may be subject to legal record-retention requirements and other applicable limitations.
Spectrum will not retaliate against applicants for exercising applicable privacy rights or choosing not to receive recruiting texts.

10. Paylocity’s Policies and Policy Updates
Paylocity provides additional information about its processing and messaging services in its Client Employees Privacy Statement and Paylocity Job SMS Messages Terms and Conditions. These materials supplement this policy with information about Paylocity’s services; they do not replace Spectrum’s responsibilities for its own collection, use, or disclosure of information.
