CONSENT TO ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION

By submitting an application for employment, and selecting yes to consent to receiving text messages, you consent to and agree to receive electronically any or all communications that we provide in connection to your application for employment with Orangewood Foundation/Samueli Academy (“Organization”) and/or in connection to your employment with the Organization. These electronic communications may be provided to you via the email address you provide to the Organization in your Employment Application, personnel file, or any other document containing your personal contact information by calling or texting your cellphone or mobile device, or by any other means. You also consent and agree that the Organization may call you, leave a voicemail, or send you a text message to your cell phone using any automated dialing machine. The Organization may include your personal information in an electronic communication. The Organization will not charge you for an electronic communication, but your mobile device service provider may do so.

You acknowledge that you have a valid email address and that your computer, mobile, tablet, or similar device used to access email has internet access, a current browser, and computer software that are capable of receiving, accessing, displaying, and either printing or storing electronic communications. Hardware and software requirements include an internet connection; access to a device (e.g., computer, smartphone, mobile device, tablet, etc.); a current or recent version of an operating system capable of supporting internet browsers; and software that enables you to open and view .pdf files.

You can request paper copies of electronic communications in writing. You can also update your contact information with the Organization’s People and Culture team. You acknowledge and agree that if we send you an electronic communication, but you do not receive it because your contact information is incorrect or out of date, we will be deemed to have provided that electronic communication to you. You are legally entitled to withdraw your consent to receive electronic communications by contacting the Organization at HR@orangewoodfoundation.org. You can also reply “stop” to any text message received from the Organization to withdraw your consent to receive electronic communications by text message.
