The American Youth Foundation (AYF) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect the personal information you provide when applying for employment through our hiring portal.

Information We Collect

When you apply, we collect information you provide directly, including your name, contact information, work history, education, references, certifications, and responses to application questions. Depending on the position, we may also collect information needed for background checks, child abuse registry checks, and employment eligibility verification.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information only for hiring and employment purposes, including:

  • Evaluating your qualifications and application
  • Contacting you about your application and scheduling interviews
  • Conducting reference checks and, after a conditional offer, background and registry checks required for positions working with youth
  • Verifying employment eligibility and completing onboarding if you are hired
  • Meeting legal and regulatory requirements

We do not sell your personal information or use it for marketing.

Who Has Access

Your information is visible only to AYF staff involved in hiring. Our application portal is hosted by Paylocity, our payroll and human resources platform, which processes your information on our behalf. If you advance in the hiring process, limited information may be shared with third-party screening providers to complete required background checks. All vendors are contractually required to protect your information.

How We Protect Your Information

AYF follows internal data security policies governing the handling of personally identifiable information. Access is limited to authorized staff, and we take reasonable administrative and technical measures to prevent unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure.

Retention

We retain application records as required by federal and state law. If you are hired, your application becomes part of your employment record. If you are not hired, we may retain your application to consider you for future openings unless you ask us to delete it.

Your Choices

You may contact us at any time to update your information, ask how it has been used, or request that your application be withdrawn or deleted, subject to legal retention requirements.
