In this role, you’ll start by running service calls and then transition into building and managing the department from the ground up. Key Responsibilities:

  • Run and manage residential and commercial plumbing service calls
     
  • Exceed budgeted gross margin and net new membership goals
     
  • Ensure techs present good, better, best options and maintain <5% A/R levels
     
  • Manage job costs, productivity, and customer experience metrics
     
  • Review and approve invoices and monitor payroll and material expenses
     
  • Conduct daily huddles, weekly ride-alongs, and monthly 1:1s with technicians
     
  • Lead recruiting, hiring, training, and disciplinary efforts
     
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols and injury reporting
     
  • Track KPIs such as call board status, average sales, lead generation, and memberships
     
Requirements

 

As a professional, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Plumbing Manager, you will lead the growth and performance of our Residential and Commercial Plumbing service teams. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Drive Performance:
     
    • Meet and exceed monthly gross margin goals for both Residential and Commercial plumbing services
       
    • Grow our membership program by achieving net new membership goals
       
    • Ensure technicians consistently present good, better, best options to customers
       
    • Monitor and maintain accounts receivable (A/R) at <5% of monthly revenue
       
  • Team Leadership & Communication:
     
    • Set clear expectations and accountability for the Plumbing team to manage workload, control job costs, and meet margin goals
       
    • Build strong relationships with team members through open, responsive communication
       
    • Conduct effective monthly 1-on-1 meetings with each technician, reviewing personal goals and scorecards
       
    • Lead weekly technician ride-alongs with performance feedback and coaching
       
    • Participate in daily huddles to align team goals and plan ahead
       
  • Operations & Safety:
     
    • Collaborate with branch leadership to create and execute monthly operational budgets that exceed performance targets
       
    • Oversee safety protocols, training, and incident reporting to ensure a safe work environment and minimize liability
       
    • Track and manage expenses, payroll, and invoices to control costs
       
    • Maintain department KPIs including call board, field conversions, average sales, leads, and membership growth
       
    • Resolve customer service concerns quickly and effectively
       
  • Hiring & Development:
     
    • Support recruiting efforts by participating in monthly staffing meetings and conducting interviews
       
    • Train, coach, and develop team members, including hiring, terminations, and performance management
       
    • Uphold company policies and enforce the employee handbook consistently
       
    • Provide weekly payroll updates to manage time and minimize overtime
       
  • Additional Duties:
     
    • Take on other responsibilities as needed to support department and company success


Qualifications: 

  • Texas Master Plumbers License
  • High School diploma or GED is required. 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a supervisor or manager within a service industry operation. Proven, consistent track record of meeting and exceeding revenue objectives. 
  • Clean driving and criminal records as required by state laws for home service companies and by company insurance carrier(s)
