 This role is 100% onsite in Vandalia, Ohio.

Scope Of the Role:

  • Understand how Vandalia Rental operates and drive the vision for how we share analytics and insights with our users
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to meet business requirements
  • Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide range of challenging problems and drive growth
  • Generate reports/queries, including: writing, maintaining  and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate      reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer (internal and external) needs. 
  • Maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data
  • Use data mining to extract information and identify correlations and patterns
  • Analyze and interpret data that will drive growth and overall improvement
  • Clearly communicate insights and technical approaches verbally and in writing
  • Ensure high degree of confidence in the data products 
  • Some travel required – branch visits, trade shows, etc.
  • Other duties that may or may not be within the typical scope of the role


Required Skills and Experience:

  • An associate degree in computer science, information systems or similar
  • 1-2+ years’ experience working as a Data Analyst 
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Curiosity and drive to learn new skills
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Advanced skill in the use of other software applications including MS Office products
  • Self-driven, energetic, problem solver who thrives in a fast paced and ever evolving environment
  • Diligence and attention to detail, able to listen, learn, and put into practice
  • Excellent communication skills, and an ability to collaborate and engage with those around you
  • Role is 100% onsite - Casual office environment - Sitting, standing, and walking
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  •  Must be eligible to work in The United States. No sponsorship offered
  • Work is in office and shop environments with exposure to varying degrees of temperatures, noise as well as other elements found in an equipment or construction type environment

Preferred but Not Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Working knowledge of Tableau and or Power BI
  • Equipment rental or other utilization driven work experiences
  • Wynne Systems ERP experience
