Description

Develops and instructs the Expeditionary-Information Warfare Team Trainer course for Navy Expeditionary Combat Forces to include: Coastal Riverine Forces, Naval Construction Forces, and EOD Mobile Units and Mobile Diving Salvage Units. Improves information warfare support to the high-end fight and Fleet Concept Operations, enhances expeditionary warfare intelligence readiness, and provides certification of N2 personnel prior to NECC Integrated Exercises (NIEX). Training topics include Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (IPOE) development, METOC, COMMs, Intelligence support to the Navy Planning Process. Collection and RFI management, ICOP usage, and Counterintelligence. The training culminates in a capstone battle problem.  

Requirements

Provide management and technical assistance to include, but not limited to:


• Navy Expeditionary Combat Force (NECF) intelligence training and readiness assessments;

• Information Warfare Team Training;

• Develop training briefs and course supporting materials;

• Participate in seminars, forums, workshops, curriculum alignment, doctrine/TTP reviews or other activities to advance intelligence and information warfare training in support of NECF advanced training.


The Intelligence Planner/Expeditionary Warfare Instructor supports the design, development, refinement, and execution of training exercise scenarios in order to train and assess Commander, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) unit(s)’ ability to effectively execute its combat mission in a MCO environment. In support of other formal training requirements, required to qualify and instruct in the Battle Watch Captain, Staff Officer, Operational Planning Team (OPT) Leader, and Commander’s courses of instruction. There is also a mobile training team version, Expeditionary Staff Training (EST) that combine portions of all 4 courses, that can be taken on the road to provide training for those forces forwarded deployed. 

  

Military/Navy Community Experience: Requires a minimum of ten (10) years US military active service in intelligence planning operations for the deployment and employment of ground combat, aviation, supporting arms, and/or combat service support units and related equipment; and three (3) years’ experience in military training and education focused on senior enlisted personnel, junior officers and senior officers or equivalent.. Shall have at least four (4) years of recent (within last six years).

Has participated in the deployment and/or employment of NECC type forces or equivalent type forces. Shall have experience / familiarization in at least one or more of the following NECC type-unit warfare missions, functions and capabilities:

• Naval Construction

• Navy Expeditionary Logistics

• Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)

• Coastal Riverine

• Navy Expeditionary Intelligence

• Navy and Naval Expeditionary operations

• Amphibious operations

• Combat Service Support

• Expeditionary Mine Counter Measures (MCM) operations

• Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP)


Education:

Bachelor’s degree preferred. 


Clearance: 

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
