General Position Summary:

The Credit Risk Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining robust reporting on Vervent’s various credit portfolios. The Portfolio Risk Analyst will complete advanced analyses to assist in the management Vervent Card’s portfolios, including processes related to collections, customer service, retention, fraud, and payments.

The hours of the position are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm with additional hours as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain various levels of portfolio performance reporting;
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Risk team to conduct analyses that enhance credit programs;
  • Present findings and suggestions to various levels of management;
  • Analyze and enhance existing Predictive Models;
  • Build new Predictive Models;
  • Implement, monitor, and report upon various collections, customer service, retention, fraud, and payment strategies;
  • Create reports that are available to internal and external clients via SSRS Portal;
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Degree in Business Intelligence/Analytics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent work experience is preferred;
  • Proficient knowledge of standard office equipment including PC skills with emphasis using Microsoft products;
  • Basic to Intermediate experience with T-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS;
  • Familiarity with a statistical modeling software such as R, SAS, or Angoss
  • One to five years of job-related experience in a credit card/financial services environment is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.

Physical Requirements:

The work is of an intellectual nature. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is required to stand and sit for prolonged periods. Specific vision abilities required include close and medium distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal sounds, distinguish sound as voice and communicate through human speech. This position requires the ability to operate a keyboard, computer mouse, telephone, fax, copier, writing tools, and other standard office equipment. On an occasion, an employee will be asked to lift items weighing up to 35 lbs.
