Positions Supervised:  



The HR Administrative Assistant is responsible for administrative HR tasks and assisting with all other HR duties and special projects.


  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
  • Responsible for managing job postings on the website
  • Responsible for all onboarding task including corresponding and entering background check information, securing email addresses, entering new employees into Colleague and scheduling NEO
  • Responsible for some offboarding including deactivation of accounts
  • Responsible for entering new employees / students into the HRIS system
  • Responsible for employee verifications
  • Responsible for all HRIS employee password resets and address changes to both Paylocity and Colleague
  • Responsible for distribution and entry of all “request forms” and maintaining updated forms on the HR landing page
  • Assists HR Director with various research projects and / or special projects
  • Performs other clerical functions and other work as assigned 
  • Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
  • Provides training for new and current employees on payroll and other HR systems
  • Responsible for SafeCollege training compliance
  • Responsible for assisting with the Employee Health Fair
  • Responsible for organizing and hosting a Flu shot clinic
  • Responsible for managing student worker onboarding
  • Responsible for the recruitment process (advertising, screening, references)
  • Other duties as assigned

Detail Oriented-Detail orientation looks at the ability of the individual to pay meticulous attention to all aspects of a situation or task, no matter how small or seemingly unimportant. This competency asks the question “How well do you understand and work with the ‘nuts and bolts’ of a task?” 


High school diploma or equivalent required, a bachelor’s degree is preferred, however equivalent education / experience will be considered.


A minimum of one year of HR / payroll experience is preferred, more experience is desired. Preference will be given to candidates with Paylocity payroll experience and a background in HR.
