For more than 35 years WCC has been providing Coca-Cola with high-quality P.E.T. bottles and preforms. Our team is developing and looking for a Plant Accountant to join our Finance team. This person will primarily work from the Houston/ Sugar Land plant with the opportunity to work from home on occasion. 30% company travel required.


What does day-to-day life at WCC look like?


Our plants are highly automated and fast-paced manufacturing facilities that function with our mission "to provide lowest cost, highest quality products to our bottlers," in mind. Our teams are collaborative and innovative. General weekly tasks include payroll processing in collaboration with the Human Resource team, tracking of weekly spending including but not limited to labor hours. Creating financial reports to share with the plant leadership as well as corporate teams. Engaging in plant-level teams to understand the total scope of the business. Monthly the Plant Accountant drives mid-month resin inventory, product cycle counts and handles the plant level end-of-month closing process including physical inventory. The Plant Account ensures that the annual budget is prepared and executed. Candidates should have a general knowledge of sales/ use tax reporting and accounting with on-the-job training available to enhance current knowledge and skills. Some flexibility for remote work is available.

Requirements

Who are you?


First and foremost, you are very interested in a manufacturing career with the ultimate goal to not only grow your career but to learn new things as well. You might not possess knowledge or experience with Injection Molding and/or Blow Molding, but you are eager to learn. . You have superior organizational skills with an aptitude for problem-solving and independent judgment. You are an excellent communicator, verbally and in writing. You are a team player and are committed to being part of a successful team.

You should be motivated to accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. General ability to monitor and elevate accounting policies and procedures to verify adherence is a must. You are also continuous improvement minded and flexible to improving processes for efficiency.


Ideally, you have a Bachelor's degree with a primary focus in Accounting. 

Salary Description
$60000/ Annually plus annual incentive
