Description

Celona is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Software engineer to join an agile development team, crafting innovative new features for Celona’s private 5G offering, and maintaining existing ones using world-class technologies.  You will be part of a team bringing the most transformational technology to wireless networking.  Candidates who enjoy tackling complex technical challenges, have a passion for delighting customers, and who are motivated to solve problems will thrive in our highly collaborative environment. 


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
  • Research, conceive, and develop software applications to extend and improve on Celona’s product offering.
  • Collaborate on scalability issues involving access to data and information.
  • Manage individual and team priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Debug issues across multiple systems, regularly share knowledge with peers, and contribute to architectural design discussions.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software development
  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures and algorithm design.
  • Strong problem solving and complexity analysis.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Python or Java.
  • Exposure to working with container ecosystems (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
  • 2+ years of exposure to API-driven applications using REST and/or gRPC.
  • Experience taking a project from inception through launch.
  • Cloud native development experience: AWS is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge working with relational databases like MySQL / PostgreSQL
  • Scaling and optimizing applications for better performance
  • Experience building complex software that has multiple dependency systems.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams through influence, excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in systems architecture, loosely coupled and distributed systems for massive scale.
  • Familiarity with streaming and distributed computing technologies such as Kafka, Druid, Redis, MongoDB.
