Position Description

U.S. Soccer is seeking a Presentation Designer to join our industry-leading team and help drive the growth of soccer in the United States. We are looking for a brilliant creative to join our team to help round out a group of strategic marketers that work to create new platforms to help our partners connect directly with our fans. You will collaborate with the Strategic Partnership and Brand Development/Creative teams to inspire and build best-in-class presentations and marketing materials by using dynamic visuals to while upholding brand standards. This role is focused on visual storytelling and data visualization through powerful and engaging pitch presentations while working alongside the Partnership Development and Partnership Marketing teams to assist in their creative needs. We are looking for someone skilled in visual design, innate sense of brand and knowledge of consumer marketing, and will fit within a collaborative work environment that encourages ideas and contributions from all team members. This role needs someone who is creative, highly organized, and able to work efficiently on multiple projects to meet deadlines.


Primary Responsibilities

This individual will be a key contributor to the strategic partnerships team holistically and will be charged to:

  • Own and manage the entire design process on presentations, marketing materials and renderings relevant to key partner and prospect proposals
  • Understand the prospect’s and / or partner’s brand DNA and design presentations/materials to reflect brand synergies and positioning
  • Collaborate with Partnership Development, Partnership Marketing, and Brand Development teams to create compelling new business/renewal proposals and platforms
  • Create visually stunning bespoke presentations, including new and existing templates
  • Create renderings and mockups for prospects and partners of new proposed assets, spaces and signage
  • Work closely with Partnership Strategy team to brainstorm and convey partnership opportunities in an organized and creative manner
  • Manage workflow and timelines of projects and communicate efficiently with internal teams
  • Have the ability to communicate partner brand and objectives in conjunction with the U.S. Soccer narrative and go-to-market strategy
  • Assist in developing strategic plans for partnership inception and growth
  • Work, build relationships and onboard with external creative agencies to help develop partnership design needs such as videos, templates, presentations, recaps and other ad hoc needs
  • Leverage key resources, insights and data and have the ability to transform them into easily digestible designs
  • Brainstorm and develop new ideas and partner growth concepts relative to awareness, traffic driving, interactive and digital campaigns and hospitality
  • All other duties as assigned by the team

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field of expertise
  • Must present a portfolio of works that represents a diverse creative skillset including:
  • Presentation design showcasing clear understanding of page layout and content hierarchy
  • Data visualization / infographics
  • Typography
  • Photo editing and compositing
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite inclusive of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign and After Effects.
  • Highly skilled in developing master styles and animations in PowerPoint, and Keynote
  • 3+ years of experience in strategic brand and partnership marketing
  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple departments
  • Able and willing to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends & holidays
  • Able and willing to travel up to 10% of the time to all domestic U.S. Soccer controlled matches

Desired Qualifications

  • Pro-active and curious with a bias for action to maximize partner value
  • Proven project management skills are required. Must be able to think strategically and handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Premiere and After Effects
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a multidisciplinary team
  • A background in, and passion for, soccer, sports and entertainment is preferred
  • Experience in sports marketing
  • Desire to be part of a team
  • ”Student of the Game” mentality and desire for continual growth
  • Accountable for actions/decisions and does not make excuses
  • Multi-lingual a plus
