Job Title: Sound Technician
Reports To: Sound Engineer
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Seasonal Full-time
Pay Tier: 4
Compensation: $675-$700/week (52 weeks), competitive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, voluntary supplemental benefits, 401(k), vacation, sick time, and paid holidays.

The Sound Technician mixes musicals, supervises crew on a day-to-day basis, and works with the Sound Engineer to plan and execute workflow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Mixes musicals.
· Supervises crew of Sound Board Op and Sound Apprentice. Advances, supports, and promotes organizational inclusion, diversity, equity, access, and antiracism goals in staffing, policies, procedures, and practices.
· Ensures that all equipment used in the show is functioning properly.
· Identifies ways to accomplish needs or design for the director of the show or Sound Engineer.
· Installs sound system for shows.
· Runs cable/wiring, speakers, and video equipment.
· Maintains cable, equipment.

Minimum of 2-3 years of professional employment or internship in theater and/or event sound; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of digital mixing boards, Qlab, basic computer networking including Dante. Mixing 10+ wireless mics. Signal flow and sound system patching. Clear Com headset systems. Programming digital speaker processors. Grid experience, basic understanding of electricity, sound principles. Experience soldering.

· Ability to set up and work on extension ladders and scaffolding.
· Ability to ascend and descend stairs.
