Job Overview

As a Product Manager at ELB Learning, you are responsible for the overall success of one or more products and for managing the product's lifecycle from development to product launch. Most importantly, you are responsible for assisting with bringing our company's vision and strategy to life. This is balanced with responding to customer and partner needs and wants and being able to convert those into product and/or project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Below are some of the responsibilities a product manager is expected to assume in their position: 

  • Drive development and definition of product strategy and vision
  • Manage the product backlog, identifying scope and sequence of targets for development
  • Listen to and understand customer feedback, and respond to product suggestions
  • Contribute to product pricing strategies
  • Work with a cross-functional team to determine the product's business model
  • Work with Marketing and Sales to define messaging and PR strategies for the product
  • Remain abreast of the latest industry trends and technology
  • Meet with clients and other key stakeholders
  • Support the sales team by providing product information and demos
  • Research and suggest new product development and refinements for existing products
  • Define product integration opportunities for internal and 3rd party products 


Job Qualifications and Skill Sets

Below are the qualifications expected of a product manager:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in product management or a related field
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
  • High level of comfort with technology and its development
  • Previous learning platform, authoring tool, or game design and production experience
  • Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
  • Excellent documentation skills along with in-depth knowledge of product strategy 
  • Experience creating detailed reports and presentations to senior executives and key stakeholders
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google tools
  • A track record of successfully making and keeping commitments
