Director, Internal Engagement and Communications, Teall Capital Partners

Teall Capital Partners is looking for an experienced employee engagement professional to fill the role of Director of Internal Engagement and Communication. This position will be responsible for leading all new and existing employee engagement initiatives, as well as creating, developing, and maintaining consistent internal communications that support the vision, mission, and values of the enterprise. Assists with professional development and training initiatives.


  • Responsible for creating and managing a consistent, energetic, relevant, and effective life cycle for each employee such that every team member is exposed to the same type of cultural experience.
  • Responsible for distributing all resource documents to new employees, as well as establishing and coordinating any timely interviews/meetings with applicable staff that are necessary for the new team member to start their tenure with one of the Teall Sports & Entertainment portfolio companies.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains the Teall Talent Institute Orientation for all new team members. This three (3) day, two (2) night employee experience will include, but not be limited to the following: the required reading Good to Great, teaching of the Teall Sports & Entertainment history, including that of the leaders, teaching of company nomenclature, education on all verticals and various functions of each company, education on how private equity works, what our governance is, and teaching them about capitalism, free enterprise, and risk/reward
  • Builds out welcome announcements for each new full-time employee to include name, title/region, Get To Know You information, LinkedIn profile, Education and Professional Experience and headshot. 
  • Ensures welcome notes to new team members are sent from each CEO and the Teall Talent Institute team. Ensures proper welcome gift is sent and received by all new associates.
  • Works with supervisors to create and illustrate each employee’s clear pathway for the future with the organization.
  • Designs, accumulates content, creates, and distributes monthly internal newsletter, Game Plan.
  • Manages Teall Sports & Entertainments SharePoint site with relevant resources, announcements, and communications for all companies. This SharePoint site serves as the internal community for all Teall Sports & Entertainment organizations.
  • Plans, coordinates, and secures all programming and guest speakers for all Coach's Table events and manages invites, reminders, etc. and works with each individual company on “Lunch and Learn” opportunities that need to be executed on the company level for company level and division level training.
  • Designs, coordinates, and leads the execution of a company-wide Community Service initiative, whereby the entire organization is immersed in a community service project for a full workday. This position will develop a name for this initiative and work with the Chief Marketing Officer on a public relations strategy. 
  • Develops and maintains database of professional development facilitators, speakers (on all topics), skills training classes and facilitators, throughout U.S. to be used as a resource throughout all Teall Sports & Entertainment companies.
  • Assists with hotel management and planning and execution details for all sales promotions, sales academies, new employee orientations and all other TS&E events (rooms, F&B, AV).
  • Assists with the communication distribution and execution of company sales promotions.
  • Recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development for the organization.
  • Works to foster positive employee relations and teamwork by: following and supporting the organization’s policies and procedures, communicating effectively with all operating units, complying with all federal, state, and local regulations, laws, and ordinances in discharging duties, assisting in the internal training and development programs of the organization, and embodying the values of the company and contribute to the special culture with energy and commitment to our shared success.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What makes you a good candidate?

  • Three or more years of HR/communication experience
  • Bachelors' degree
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently and as a team -- be a self-starter and collaborative depending on needs
  • Strong organization, communication, follow up and interpersonal skills with a high attention to detail
  • Experienced in managing numerous projects at once within a fast-paced environment; time management is key
  • High level of initiative, specifically in the areas of company growth and process improvement
  • Must demonstrate a high level of integrity, character, honesty and commitment to excellence
  • Strong desire to learn and grow within the company
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
