Description
The Injection Maintenance Technician performs maintenance on high-speed automated production machinery and support equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots, repairs and makes adjustments to electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on production machinery and support equipment
- Performs inspection of Injection Molding machines, Dryer Systems, Automated Guided Vehicles, and support equipment
- Performs changeovers of injection tooling and robotic equipment per production demands
- Performs preventive maintenance on Injection Molding Machines, Dryer Systems, Automated Guided Vehicles, and support equipment
- Troubleshoots electrical control and distribution systems to include 24vac, 120vac, 277vac and 480vac controller and monitor control systems
- Some programming and troubleshooting of PLC’s
- Orders and installs replacement parts for machines
- Prepares reports documenting work performed
- Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines
- Fabricates and welds basic steel projects
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma/GED Required. Three years of relevant experience (one employer) may be substituted
- Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery
- Must be able to visually inspect machines
