The primary purpose of this position is to provide accurate financial information regarding the expenses of the Camp by receiving, processing, verifying invoices and receipts for expenses and reconciling vendor and statements. The person in this position is expected to have common sense, discretion, accuracy, high attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize duties and adhere to deadlines. The Accounts Payable Bookkeeper is part of the Business Office Team that processes all financial data for the three locations within the Warm Beach Camp Ministries. The person in this position shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior towards colleagues, guests and supervisors. Regular attendance is essential for this position. Adherence to a published, departmental schedule is expected and required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Work with Management Team to get all invoices/receipts approved before entry into accounting software.
2. Post transactions into Accounts Payable.
3. Reconcile credit card statements and utilize software for receival of backup and approvals.
4. Answer all vendor inquiries.
5. Analyze and reconcile vendor statements each month.
6. Work with HR & Business Manager and C.O.O. in managing cash flow.
7. Prepare accounts payable checks.
8. Maintain check registers for AP and all bank related activity on the accounts.
9. Maintain capital projects and/or restricted funds worksheets.
10. Document and maintain all accounts payable files.
11. Prepare analysis and reconciliation of accounts, as required.
12. Monitor sales tax and use tax on all transactions as needed and submit to state monthly records.
13 Assist with mailroom and other Business Office duties as needed.
14. Provide Business Office support during The Lights of Christmas, as assigned.
This position is not a regular supervisory position.

This is a full-time, year-round position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
