Location: Remote Worker in the United States

You will provide administrative and operational support for the Arts and Humanities Grants Program Division. You will work directly with division staff supporting the daily work related to M-AAA's regional grant programs, the Regional Touring Program grant, the Artistic Innovations grant program, and other grant making programs. You will need to undertake projects that can change daily; to communicate with staff, constituents, and other relevant parties; and to handle confidential matters. This position is available starting on July 1, 2022.

You Will:

  • Administer core regional grant programs, which includes correspondence about grant opportunities, data processing, review and management of applications, grant agreements and grant report forms.
  • Analyze data received through applications, reports and other collection methods relevant to grant programs to make recommendations, observe trends and suggest improvements;
  • Maintain communications with the Director of Grant Programs on grant program matters ranging from program policy and guidelines to data and documentation;
  • Assist other M-AAA staff members, and contracted specialists, with the development, documentation and distribution of grant materials;
  • Identify needs and support procedures for division, work with staff to develop them; and
  • Assist colleagues with their responsibilities in the event of vacation or illness.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of administrative experience in a creative nonprofit environment with an understanding of data management practices;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel and a working knowledge of SalesForce, Form Assembly, and DocuSign;
  • Collaborate with a diverse group of staff and professional colleagues;
  • Participatory work style with the ability to assist members of the team;
  • Commitment to the artistic and service-based mission of the organization;
  • Fluency in a language other than English is preferred; and
  • Cross-cultural understanding and sensitivity to other cultural values, norms, and customs.

Working Conditions:

Work is of a mostly sedentary nature or low-impact in physical activity. This includes sitting at a desk using a computer, phone and other office equipment. You will occasionally travel for meetings and conferences.

Salary Description
$20.67 - $22.50 per hour
