THE POSITION AND JOB SUMMARY 

ACRC is seeking a part-time Board Facilitation Coordinator to conduct assessments, coordinate supports, design, develop, and deliver training programs, curriculum, and tools needed to prepare and equip ACRC’s Board of Directors (BOD) to understand and complete their duties as board members. Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, supports board development, conferences, events, and other skill development activities, coordinates facilitation and training activities for ACRC’s BOD, develops and delivers trainings and other skill development activities in support of ACRC BOD needs, and provides direct supports to BOD members in both in-person and remote BOD meetings.  Establishing agreements with board members regarding what supports they need to prepare and participate in board meetings. Training and oversight of regional center vendored facilitators. Arranging interpretation and translation for board members; Managing the Board Mentorship Program; Monitoring new board members’ understanding of their duties and connecting them with resources to better understand their role as a board member and, as applicable, to aid in effective decision making. Design and deliver classroom and computer-based training programs that meet ACRC BOD needs and requirements; Conducting an annual evaluation of facilitation services; Attend workshops and conferences pertaining to the Regional Center service delivery system, including Client Services conferences; Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive records, information, and communication.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Adult Learning Communications, Education HR or other related fields; must have experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities. Must possess a valid California driver license and automobile liability insurance; must have two years’ experience developing, analyzing and measuring classroom and online instructional training programs; must have experience working with adult learning theory; experience working in a medium/large sized organization with multi-locations is preferred.
