Description

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals, is seeking a motivated Manager, Professional Development to work in our Commission on Dietetics Registration group. The Manager of Professional Development Services is responsible for the management and quality and compliance functions of the Professional Development Portfolio (PDP) and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) provider programs for the Dietetics profession. 


Responsibilities:

· Implements and monitors quality and compliance functions.

· Develops training materials and schedules and executes CPE Provider trainings. 

· Manages PDP recertification functions and addresses individual correspondences and inquiries. 

· Reviews Activity Log, learner audit submissions and CPE activity provider audits/reviews. 

· Collaborates with IT to enhance, streamline, clarify and routinely update and upgrade the UI and UE characteristics of the PDP and CPE database sections of the myCDRnet.org (Learning Plan/Activity Log/ CPE activty provider submissions). 

· Identifies gaps in practitioner and provider knowledge and recommends, develops, and evaluates approved changes and improvements.

· Recommends improvements to operations, PDP guidelines, and CPE provider criteria, policies, and procedures to the Senior Manager. 

Requirements

  

· Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Nutrition and Dietetics, Adult Continuing Education, Professional Development, Accreditation, or Quality Management 

· RD or RDN; DTR or NDTR preferred 

· 1+ years of relevant work experience required

· Excellent communication skills, a comfort with training adult learners, and demonstrated problem solving skills are prerequisites of this position

· Must be located within the Chicagoland area

· Some travel required
