Description

 The Technical Writer drives the creation of a documentation methodology and framework and maintains proper methodology for the purposes of consistency and efficiency. The Technical Writer prepares and maintains documentation, translates business specifications into user documentation, and plans, writes, and maintains systems and user support documentation.

Job Duties:

  • Create technical documentation, articles, case studies and white papers of a highly technical nature.
  • Interview internal employees and external customers to create useful, communicative content.
  • Cut through the complexity of the solution and boil it down to laymen terms that are easy to consume by our potential customer base. 
  • Interface with software development and marketing teams

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Two (2) Years’ Experience 
  • Technical capacity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with GIS, preferably ESRI 
  • Writing content for software applications
  • Android
  • Understanding of fiber or utility networks
  • Experience with agile methodology

Working conditions

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role requires routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers. Telecommuting is not available. This role may require up to 25% travel, both domestically and internationally.
