Description

The Finance Director has primary responsibility for leading the finance department of the CTK Network. The role is responsible for accuracy, integrity, and initiation of monthly accounting systems and processes. As a core member of Central Services, this person is committed to stewarding the church’s resources in a manner that is honoring to God to carry out the mission of CTK.  


 

Essential Functions

  • Finance Department Supervision 
    • Oversee Finance Department team including all accounting aspects, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll. 
    • Verify and assess accuracy of QuickBooks Online (QBO), including performing review of G.L., cash flow reports, bank reconciliations, preparing monthly financial statements. 
    • Oversee the development of a financial playbook/controls and fiscal policy for the network.
    • Complete contribution inputting, deposits, and giving reports for campuses.
  • Finance and Accounting 
    • Manage cash reserves and investments with the Operations Director. 
    • Coordinate with the Operations Director for accuracy of the capital item plan (CIP).
    • Initiate and oversee the annual budgeting processes, including monthly budget assessments. 
    • Perform annual review preparation and ensure G.A.A.P. compliance.  
  • Data Integrity Supervision 
    • Coordinate data utilization between database, ministry staff, and communication department. 
  • Other assignments as assigned by the Operations Director including but not limited to: annual family meeting prep, historical reports, graphical giving report representations, etc. 
Requirements


  • Alignment with CTK mission, values, and core beliefs 
  • B.A. in accounting or similar experience and training 
  • Intermediate to advanced competency in QuickBooks / QBO
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills; Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various ministry employees (translating financial language and teaching/training for the benefit of ministry staff effectiveness)
  • Ability to switch priorities frequently and adjust while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
