The Worship Pastor will build a culture of worship at CTK. This position will build effective, engaging worship teams, developing a long-term plan for growing the worship ministry and inspiring those around them to join in the pursuit of that vision.

Essential Functions

• Worship Oversight
  • Collaborate with the Service Production Team to create and plan engaging weekend services.
  • Oversee all worship elements for weekend services.
  • Implement the vision of the Executive Teaching Pastor and Creative Pastor for weekend services
  • Partner with Network Worship Director, Creative Pastor and Worship teams on special projects such as Good Friday service, the Christmas Special and other Network-wide events
  • Collaborate on recording and video projects.
• Volunteers
  • Recruit, train, deploy, and support worship volunteers.
  • Musically coach, spiritually develop/support, and relationally connect with worship staff/volunteers.
  • Model and encourage our volunteers to worship God in spirit and truth. 
• Leadership
  • Provide leadership of worship functions at CTK Bellingham through the development of worship teams.
  • Steward the vision for corporate and personal worship with those at CTK Bellingham.
  • Create an engaging environment for connecting with God through worship both in-person and online. 
  • Coordinate all worship resources for the entire CTK experience including all aspects of weekly services, weddings, funerals, prayer gatherings, seminars & conferences, special services, etc., as required.
  • Set, evaluate, and modify short-term and long-term goals for the worship ministry that align with the mission and values of CTK.
  • Lead and oversee worship ministry team members and AV tech team.
• Administration
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with all operational aspects of CTK as the department  leader.
  • Oversee Worship Ministry budgets.
  • Hold team members accountable to follow finance procedures in a timely manner.
  • Review and approve timecards.
  • Ensure that song reporting (CCLI), licensing, and other legal aspects of the worship ministry are being handled appropriately by the worship staff.
  • Ensure updated schedules through PCO.
• Pastoral 
  • Lead in pastoral care for all worship ministry members.
  • Function as on-call pastor on a quarterly basis as a part of the CTK Bellingham pastoral rotation.
  • Be available before and after events as pastoral presence and representative of CTK Worship Ministries.
  • Execute other pastoral assignments as needed.
