Coordinator, Partnership Development

Position Description

U.S. Soccer is seeking a Coordinator, Partnership Development to join our industry-leading team and help drive the growth of soccer in the United States. This individual will be a key contributor within U.S. Soccer’s growing commercial team and an important driver in Partnership Development’s success in sourcing and brokering first-of-its-kind partnerships. The Coordinator will be keenly focused on supporting the department’s sales strategy and partnership program ideation. The Coordinator will work directly with the U.S. Soccer commercial team to build the U.S. Soccer brand, engage fans, and deliver results.

Primary Responsibilities

This individual will be a key contributor on a team 100% focused on growth and retention of current U.S. Soccer partnerships including, but not limited to:

  • Aggregate research, benchmarking, and business intelligence across the market to assist Partnership Development team’s efforts to identify, source, and develop new partnerships on a national and global scale
  • Actively prospect brands and share best practices across the Sports, Entertainment and Media landscape to inform sales strategy
  • Develop, review, and edit visually impactful partnership presentations
  • Work in conjunction with other internal department stakeholders on ideation and approvals related to partnership presentations
  • Conduct research and curate the narrative of supporting data to help differentiate our offerings in new partnership pitches
  • Utilize KORE to manage inventory and identify assets to amplify and monetize ownable platforms
  • Create deal sheets and draft contracts to be reviewed by Executive Leadership and Legal
  • Assist department in building platforms that help the U.S. Soccer Federation and partners reach their goals
  • Play an instrumental role in ensuring the Partnership Development team achieves its revenue goals as identified by Commercial leadership
  • Serve as a key member of the Strategic Partnerships department, building and amplifying a culture to achieve both organizational and individual goals

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of expertise
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working on the property or brand side of corporate partnerships
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop and / or Illustrator
  • Able and willing to travel up to 35% of the time to all domestic U.S. Soccer controlled matches
  • Able and willing to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends & holidays
  • Able and willing to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in sports and entertainment corporate partnership sales or strategy
  • Demonstrated strategic hustle and work ethic with diversity of thought
  • Strong analytical skills with experience understanding and interpreting quantitative and qualitative research to best position prospective partners and U.S. Soccer in pitch decks
  • Market expertise in a space that is evolving and changing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects through multi-tasking and managing priorities efficiently, no matter how big or how small the task
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent computer skills, including Outlook, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, ZoomInfo, YouGov, SponsorUnited, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other sales technology
  • Proficiency in KORE (or experience with similar systems/desire to learn quickly)
  • A background in, and passion for, soccer, sports and entertainment is preferred
  • Desire to be part of a team

  • Fluent in Spanish a plus
