B22 Human Resources Generalist I
Description

Job Summary:

The Human Resource Generalist will support the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including team member onboarding, new employee orientation, recruiting, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR Manager.
  • Collaborates with HR Manager and payroll team for Benefits support.
  • Courteously greets and assists visitors.
  • Processes wage garnishments and accident reports.
  • Collaborates with department managers to draft detailed and accurate job descriptions.
  • Sources potential candidates through job postings, job fairs, social media platforms, and advertisements.
  • Facilitates and tracks background checks and drug screenings.
  • Monitors and completes team member onboarding process and conducts new hire orientations.
  • Communicates daily with managers on hiring statuses.
  • Provides team members and condo owners with necessary security keys and badges and maintains the database.
  • Answers employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring more complex questions to the HR Manager. 
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least one year of human resource management experience is preferred.
  • SHRM-CP is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
