**$500 SIGN-ON BONUS (based on experience)**


POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Landscape Irrigation Specialist II are responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all customers of ABC at all times, professional behavior is expected at all times while servicing a home or a business and respect and care of customers’ property is required. Listens to customer’s concerns in regards the services provided and suggest proper treatments or solutions to address their concerns. As a commission employee, you have the potential to increase your earnings daily based on your productivity and sales. You may increase your pay by turning in leads for additional services through ABC’s Lead Now program. As a commission employee, you control your earnings potential.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verifies property address/location before work has begun.
  • Properly utilizes specified glue and primer to connect pipes making them leak-proof; works with fittings of up to 2” in underground sprinkler systems.
  • Carefully excavate sprinkler heads and pipes for repair; cleans and clears the work area after job has been completed.
  • Rebuilds and replaces damaged valves, solenoids, flush ports; can replace diaphragms.
  • Must be familiar with all types of sprinkler controllers; can efficiently use and set up of such controllers.
  • Answers basic client questions in regards to their system and can train the customer in the use of the controller as needed.
  • Understand current water ordinances and restrictions; performs basic multi-meter processes (OHMs).
  • Designs irrigation systems on software to include As-builts and submittals; installs irrigation systems; oversees the system installations of other Irrigation Specialist.
  • May perform lighting estimates and installs; estimates for Landscape designers; follows through with all proposal submitted and the completion of all jobs sold.
  • Services wells and pump systems.
  • Estimates and performs retro-fits to include drip conversions.
  • Can sweat copper fittings.
  • Connects and disconnects main water supply to client’s property.
  • Installs backflow devices; can calculate precipitation rate; locates valves and wire nicks using a line tracker.
  • Understand plant and soil water needs; properly installs add-a-zone; hydro-zones. May test backflow devices with license.
  • Assures all permits are open/close timely; assures properties are marked for utilities; provide daily leadership and work assignments.
  • Review employees with input from General Manager; oversee training and CEUs of employees.
  • Must work well with employees and customers. Serves as a liaison between Landscape employees, CSRs, and GM.
  • Completes correctly all property inspection sheets, route sheets and repair forms. Collects, checks, and turns in to office along with all other paperwork, every day.
  • Communicate any issues, concerns or outstanding items to office for proper scheduling and follow-up.
  • Perform vehicle inspection according to company protocol.
  • Identifies and reports to Service Manager any damages to customer’s property immediately.
  • Meets deadlines of route and informs Manager of all resets and skipped services or not completed work on a daily basis.
  • Consults with higher management to troubleshoot whenever necessary.
  • Uses personal protective equipment at all times as is required by safety standards and for prevention purposes.
  • Attend required department meetings and company or vendor training as required.
  • Your readiness to work on Saturday is obligatory when work is not completed during normal work days. Our technicians work Saturdays on a rotating basis.
  • May supervise others.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
Requirements

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of three years field experience is required.
  • Must possess an irrigation license.
  • Must possess general knowledge of sprinkler systems maintenance and repairs; piping and connection techniques.
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work load, work under pressure and still maintain good composure.
  • Desired experience in working with routes, service stops, and meeting deadlines of your service route.
  • Dependable and self-motivated with desire to work year-round.
  • High school diploma or GED is desired but not a must.
  • Must read and write in English.
  • Ability to use and navigate electronic tablet/phone, email, text, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS WITH OR WITHOUT ACCOMMODATIONS ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Ability to walk for long periods of time in extreme temperatures including outdoors.
  • Crawl under homes on your knees.
  • Repetitive lifting, twisting, pulling, pushing and carry up to 50 lbs. may be required.
  • Handles power tools, drills, saws, etc.
