Position Summary

The Business Advising Intern will support our small business lending and advising programs in Los Angeles assisting clients in with completing small and micro business loan applications.  This is a part-time, temporary position (20-25 hours/week).

Essential Responsibilities

· Guide potential borrowers through the loan application process

· Assist with developing personal finance statements 

· Collect required loan documents

· Assist with developing business projections

· Ensure loan packages are complete for underwriting


 Professional Skills, Education and Experience

· Undergraduates with a minimum of 2 (two) years’ coursework towards a Bachelor’s degree required

· Strong Communication and interpersonal skills

· Highly organized 

· Problem solving skills

· Comfortable with finance and working with numbers

· Working knowledge of P&L’s, Balance Sheets and cash flows

· Enthusiastic about helping small businesses thrive

· Inclusive and comfort interacting with diverse audiences

· Spanish a plus, but not required
