All Chicago’s mission is to unite our community and resources to provide solutions that ensure and sustain the stability of home. All Chicago prevents and ends homelessness through emergency financial assistance, community partnerships, data analytics, and training and research. Through our Community Partnerships program, we serve as the backbone of Chicago’s city-wide response to homelessness. We partner with 44 agencies and lead them through a year-round research, evaluation, strategic planning, and federal funding application process. In addition, we provide trainings, workshops, research, and analysis to help our partners apply proven strategies to prevent and end homelessness in Chicago even more effectively. The VISTA Summer Associate for CoC Data & Evaluation will assist All Chicago to conduct evaluation and data analysis that will positively influence strategies to end homelessness in Chicago. Increasing the efficiency and effectiveness is a vital aim of the CoC, and accurate, robust, and timely provision of evaluation and data analysis is the foundation upon which the CoC conducts quality improvement. This VISTA project will create report templates, designs, and plans by which the CoC can examine and improve its strategies. Housing allows vulnerable individuals to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness.
This position is a part of the Housing Action VISTA Network, which is an AmeriCorps VISTA program managed by Housing Action Illinois since 2010. As such, this position will receive expert training, support, guidance, and networking opportunities, in addition to the traditional opportunities for AmeriCorps VISTA positions. Ideal candidate will have skills and experience working with and reporting on data especially related to social service, public policy, or social science. This experience could have been gained in a volunteer, employment, or academic setting. Important attributes include attention to detail, written communication skills, and analytical thinking.
