Position Summary: 

The Salesforce Coordinator will assist the Director of Technology with Salesforce user setup, training and support, data validation and cleansing, report building, as well as other technology needs. 

The successful candidate will have a record of success in improving processes and user adoption of software/CRM platforms. The Coordinator will be responsible for the executing on the day-to-day support, adoption, maintenance, and improvement of our CRM platform. Over time this role will expand to help support other related systems and hardware programs. 

Position responsibilities and work volume will be established and evaluated through ongoing supervision, annual reviews, and the development of an annual professional development plan. 

Specific Responsibilities: 

Support/User Adoption/Database Administration – approximately 45% of the job 

  • Onboard new staff and train on how to use Salesforce for their role in the agency. 
  • Maintain and improve training curricula for staff. 
  • Collaborate with Director of Technology to grow and evolve the system. 
  • Manage and create user accounts for Salesforce. 
  • Work within feature and build rollout workflow processes. 
  • Create and strengthen systems for data collection, management, reporting and analysis. 
  • Work in partnership with frontline staff and the leadership team to support initiatives towards a data- driven culture. 

Data Validation and Reporting – approximately 45% of the job 

  • Clean data and resolve data integrity issues that can impact functionality and reporting. 
  • Respond to staff requests for data updates and deletions. 
  • Build out and manage compelling visual dashboards for management and staff to track organizational outputs and outcomes. 
  • Build functional reports, including custom report types. 
  • Analyze client data and make meaning of trends with program staff. Partner with other All Chicago teams to support reporting needs. 
  • Ensure the accuracy of data reports on a regular basis. 

Other Technology Tasks - approximately 10% of the position  

  • Keep current on Salesforce trends and best practices in trainings and develop tools as needed. 
  • Creates an annual professional development plan and actively works to meet identified benchmarks throughout the year.  
  • Actively participate in department, committee, and staff meetings.  
  • Demonstrate excellent stewardship of departmental and organizational resources. 
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and partners in written, oral and in-person communication in both groups and at public events. 
  • Assists with All Chicago events and other duties as assigned. 


Requirements Quali?cations: 

Successful candidates will demonstrate commitment to preventing and ending homelessness in Chicago and will have the following: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) plus ideally at least one year of experience administering a Salesforce system OR other CRM or cloud database. 
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification or demonstrated self-investment in learning Salesforce via Trailhead courses, or relevant work experience. 
  • Advanced Excel abilities including formulas, lookups. 
  • Good working knowledge/skills with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams. 
  • Experience working in homeless services or other social services is preferred. 
  • Ability to give friendly, helpful support to users. 


Work Environment

  • All Chicago's normal business hours are 9am to 5pm. We are currently working entirely remotely and will transition to a hybrid remote/in-office work setting in the future. We will consider accommodations.

  • Salary is in the $48,820 - $66,510 range, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits package (with some employee contributions) includes medical, dental, vision insurance, and disability. Employer-matched retirement plan. Generous paid leave.
