Franklin Madison is looking for a high-energy team member who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of success in all areas of event planning and organization. This person will manage the coordination of multiple events simultaneously; including tradeshows, conferences, client events, webinars, and other hosted company events. The right candidate must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines. This role will work closely with sales, driving strong collaboration on lead generation and event strategy.


Duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Create and nurture relationships with associations, vendors, and facilities.
  • Plan, implement, and scale our event strategy to create a robust pipeline focusing on the development of qualified leads.
  • Manage budget and track event expenses and ROI.
  • Lead negotiations for space contracts and book events, arrange food and beverage, order supplies and equipment, make travel arrangements, manage event logistics and ensure communications are shared with the team in a timely manner.
  • Conduct research, make site visits and find resources to present to sales leadership to make decisions about event possibilities. 
  • Propose new ideas to improve the event engagement, planning, and implementation process. 
  • Prepare conference attendee lists and outline conference opportunities for the attending team.
  • Work closely with leadership on conference strategies.
  • Execute detailed communications to appropriate team members about logistics and expectations for events.
  • Use Salesforce to track and engage with leads before and after events.
  • Work with communications team to promote conference opportunities across Franklin Madison social sites.
  • Actively study and identify opportunities for the company and sales team to boost business and/or contacts. 
  • Demonstrate professionalism, product knowledge, and business expertise when speaking to clients, prospects, and partners in the tradeshow and event setting.
  • Develop annual event calendar and budget forecast.
  • Travel Requirements: 20% - 25%
Requirements

  

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience in sales/marketing environment and financial reporting
  • Must be able to work independently with precision in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly.
  • Must be willing to travel and work a varied  schedule that will occasionally include evenings, nights, and weekends. 
  • Requires some heavy lifting with set-up and tear-down of exhibit booths.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
