Description

Do you have experience as a Site Reliability Engineer providing stellar client focused assistance with a complex, highly configurable cloud-based platform? Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leverage DevOps and Agile methodologies and standards in day-to-day work
  • Participate in design discussions with engineering teams to establish and maintain sound scalability and reliability patterns for AssureCare cloud and hosted environments
  • Ensure appropriate measuring and monitoring of availability, reliability, performance, and overall system health of AssureCare cloud and hosted environments to meet client Availability SLAs
  • Keeps a proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks in an effort to improve the reliability and sustainability of our systems infrastructure
  • Work closely with support and implementation teams to resolve client infrastructure/system issues, escalations, alerts, tickets and queries
  • Support critical launches/migrations/releases during occasional off-hours
  • Automate creation, deployment, and testing of efficient applications that are hosted and on the Azure cloud platform
  • Establish and maintain the engineering practices around how our systems interact with each other
  • Ensure the continued durability of these systems going forward, embedding automation at every opportunity
  • Take on the challenge of engineering infrastructure solutions for scale and performance, while providing strong guarantees of security and availability to our customers
  • Enjoys problem solving, and has an interest in programming and a mindset to fix problems by automating solutions with code


Requirements

Skills / Qualifications:

  • A clear understanding of SRE principles and practices
  • Ability to program with one or more high-level languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, and/or Javascript
  • Experience troubleshooting deployment and performance issues including analysis of code (e.g., Python, Java, Javascript, etc.), automation workflows (Ruby, Powershell, ARM templates, Terraform, etc.), and tuning of cloud platform services (Azure)
  • Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows operating system, administration, and networking architecture
  • Experience driving an infrastructure-as-code transformation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet in a containerized environment (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Fluent in DevOps methodologies and driving DevOps transformations. References the book “The Phoenix Project” regularly
  • Experience using DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Chef Server, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, Git to deliver automated workflows and configuration management processes
  • Experience in the development and support of an enterprise Cloud environment
  • Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks
  • Experience understanding of algorithms and data structures
  • Current knowledge of the evolution of tools to drive continuous integration, continuous delivery, and release automation
  • Understanding of Application Performance Management tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk
  • Experience with open-source tools such as Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana
  • Understanding of SQL
  • Understanding of Data Security and Privacy technologies

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience supporting cloud services and systems, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • 3+ years’ experience in business process and/or technology implementation
  • 2+ years’ experience at a senior level or above
