Avesta Housing is seeking a warm, enthusiastic and welcoming Dining Room Host to perform dining room and food service duties within the Dining Services Department at our 75 State Street location.

Located in the historic West End neighborhood of Portland, Maine, 75 State Street is a nonprofit senior community offering a continuum of care that includes Independent Living and Assisted Living. Our mission is to promote the independence, dignity, and individuality of older people of all financial abilities by offering supportive programs and services in an urban, residential setting. Requirements

• Ability to meet facility and state immunization requirements 
• Must be able to work independently as well as a part of a team, under the direction of the Food Services Supervisor
• Able to remain calm, patient, and welcoming under pressure
• Have a flexible schedule and willingness to work evenings and weekends
• Knowledge of working in a kitchen or dining atmosphere and handling food

This position is part-time. This is a non-exempt/hourly position that pays $14 - $16 per hour.
