Responsible for performing and assisting in necessary repairs to the buildings, and vehicles at the site location. Ensures appropriate use of facility supplies, tools and equipment to minimize loss and waste. Performs all Custodial/Porter duties for the office which are not limited to vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms and trash removal as needed.
Keeps the offices, kitchen, meeting areas and restrooms clean and in order.
Vacuums carpeted areas, clean bathrooms, and empty trash. Wax and polish tiled floors as needed.
Spot cleans carpeting as needed.
Assists in after hour emergency maintenance as needed.
Participates in safety/risk management and quality improvement activities related to maintenance of building and grounds.
Assist the Team serving as the contact person to Maintenance contractors and outside groups.
Performs monthly vehicle inspections for cleanliness and needed repairs.
Maintains an inventory of all site tools and equipment and keep all in good safe working condition.
Assists with the physical set-up of special meetings as necessary.
Performs other duties as needed to meet the agencies goals and objectives.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior related experience in Custodial/Porter and general building maintenance.
Must have demonstrated skills with all Custodial and building maintenance equipment.

Typical Physical Demands
Requires sitting, prolonged standing, bending, reaching, stooping and climbing along with pushing, pulling and lifting up to 80 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate vehicles, tools and power equipment in a safe and prudent manner.
Typical Mental Demands
Must be able to handle multiple maintenance tasks in an organized and professional manner; ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of personal relationships with staff and community contractors/suppliers and mechanics. Must be able to work with people from various ethnic groups in a culturally competent manner.
Must hold a valid driver’s license, have and maintain a risk-free driving record. Must be willing to undergo initial and periodic child abuse/neglect, criminal history, sexual offender, and child care/elder care disqualification list screenings as conducted by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services utilizing the Family Care Safety Registry. Upon request, must submit fingerprints for review by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Must undergo a pre-employment drug screen and a pre-employment physical with the results showing no evidence of communicable disease.
