Position Summary:

The Technical Architect role will develop, implement, and support enterprise cloud platform services and solutions for consulting clients. Build a customer-focused relationship with client to identify business challenges and develop specifications and requirements to arrive at the best solution.

A focus for this role is advising on hybrid cloud methodologies on device management, messaging, and directory services. Key initial technology stacks include Microsoft Intune for device management and the Microsoft Modern Workplace. Reference architectures should be built through client engagements and the resulting best practices spread and standardized across internal HBS teams.

Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:

  • Play an active role by collaborating with Practice Leads to create and maintain documents and procedures.
  • Continuously deliver best practices and operations for device management and cross-train/mentoring HBS services teams.
  • Provide input to the development of career plans and education goals for engineers, including mentoring college Interns or recent college graduates.
  • Obtain knowledge on other technologies, as directed by customer demand.
  • Execute, with Project Managers and Practice Leads, on large projects on time and on budget.
  • Provide active leadership and articulate to the Project Management Team on what is needed for success and lead the other Engineers to ensure tasks are being completed accurately and timely.
  • Be the Lead Engineer on projects that have multiple different technologies.
  • In collaboration with the Project Management Team Member, if applicable, provide daily updates on all projects and be proactive with communication to all parties on timelines, hours, resources, concerns, etc.
  • Proactively execute collaboration between different business units to provide a world class experience for the customer.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and take a leadership role in Team and customer meetings.
  • Contribute to product selection and research, configuration standards and best practices and educate our sales teams on these products and services so that they can sell them.
  • Work in a team atmosphere between regional and virtual practices, while at all times maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
  • Maintain current vendor/industry specific certifications and stay current on new products and solutions.
  • Continue to grow personally along the guidelines of the Engineering skills matrix, improving your skill set around project experience, leadership, certifications and technical expertise.
  • Minimum of 1,450 hours (billable + presales) per fiscal year prorated based on start date. These charge hour requirements will be balanced against professional development and on the job training.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years in a technical related field

Preferred Experience:

  • 6-8 years in a technical related field
  • 4+ years’ experience working as a Consultant

Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:

  • Experience designing and architecting Microsoft Azure solutions
  • Including, but not limited to, Azure AD, Intune, Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certifications
  • At least two or more Professional level certifications
  • Microsoft certified associate/expert (MCA/MCE), CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience designing and architecting systems-based solution

Preferred Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:

  • Experience with SAML/ADFS
  • Experience with developing and maintaining security architecture for PHI/PII/PCI data in various cloud, hybrid-cloud, HBS Cloud and on-prem systems
  • Experience with orchestration and automation of cloud deployment (Cloudformation, Terraform, Chef, Ansible, etc.)
  • Experience with device management software
  • Including, but not limited to, Intune, Airwatch, Mobile Iron, SCCM
  • At least two or more of the following certifications
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
  • MCSE: Core Infrastructure
  • At least two or more Associate level certifications
  • AWS, CCNA, Google Cloud Certification, VMWare VCA/VCP or equivalent level certifications/work experience
  • Familiarity or experience with:
