About the Role 

New Classrooms is seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to work with engineering, infrastructure (AWS), Technical Delivery and Service Management.  The TPM will collaborate with technology leadership and guide internal teams to deliver high quality products, processes, and services in continued progress towards innovation and greater efficiency. This person will play a key role throughout the project lifecycle from ideation, planning, implementation, deployment, and maintenance.

What you Would Do 

  • Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects
  • Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all team members are actively working toward established milestones
  • Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects
  • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives
  • Establish and implement tactical mechanisms to continuously improve efficiency of software engineering activities
  • Assist the leadership team with internal and external communication to improve visibility and transparency across the organization
  • Prepare and present status reports to stakeholders as needed

  • Flexibility/Adaptability: You’ll be able to approach the work with a willingness to embrace change and to adapt strategies on the fly. You’ll also have a high tolerance for ambiguity. 

What We are Looking For 

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, or a similar role for a software development team. (SSM, CSM, PMI Certification preferred)
  • Demonstrated understanding of agile project management processes, strategies, and methods such as Kanban and SAFe. 
  • Experience driving end to end delivery of technical products with a client focused mindset.

Role Classification and Benefits

This role is remote, full-time, with a salary range of $90,000-120,000, and includes benefits such as rich medical, dental, and vision insurance, 37 paid days off per year (prorated for the period in which you work), paid parental leave, a professional development budget of $375 annually and a quarterly cell phone subsidy.
