Description

The Purchasing Coordinator reports directly to the Purchasing Supervisor. The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and developing vendor relations, purchasing and tracking materials and assisting with negotiations and confirming purchase pricing.

  • Create purchase orders for production components and/or finished product
  • Facilitate vendor communication to ensure the on-time delivery of all purchased product, based on production demand
  • Manage current skus in ERP system
  • Communicate and resolve any open purchase order issues on a timely basis
  • Provide updates on incoming inventory to necessary departments

SALARY RANGE: $36,000 - $39, 000, depending on experience.

Requirements
  • Associates degree or a minimum of 3 years experience in related position
  • Possess the ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Must be well organized with strong analytical skills
  • Strong background and/or knowledge in EDI, Lead times, Safety Stock, Min-Max, etc.
  • ERP experience preferred.
