Lot Operations Supervisor

Safe Parking LA, a non-profit homeless services organization is looking for full time leadership position, Lot Operations Supervisor. The Supervisor will oversee operations and infrastructure to ensure that Safe Parking LA continues to thrive and fulfill its mission. The Lot Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing team of Lot Advisors who are supporting evening operations of the program lots and ensuring participants are safe, abiding by the code of conduct, and connecting with supportive services.


- Supervises the Lot Advisors team and manage infrastructure required to successfully deliver and

expand program services to ensure that best practices are executed in homeless services

- Enforces existing policies and conducts Lot Community Meetings with participants to deliver

information, remedy gaps and continuously evaluate program systems for effectiveness

- Support in providing oversight to human resources activities such as recruitment, hiring and

supervising, coaching, and training staff, interns, and volunteers under program services

- Provides crisis de-escalation, mediation, and intervention. Oversees all incident reports and

grievances as needed

- Regularly provide verbal, written, quantitative and qualitative analyses, briefings, and

recommendations to leadership

- Oversee volunteers and coordinate delivery of donations, resources, meals, and resources as


- Monitor attendance logs, incident reports, submit monthly reports, and maintain accurate

records in contracted SPLA Databases

- Participates in individual and group supervision, agency, staff, and community meetings as

directed by supervisor

- Participate in community meetings and represent the agency in outreach activities to support

educating stakeholders about Safe Parking LA

- Exempt position that requires flexibility to work and visit multiple locations and be on call for

emergencies. Requires reliable transportation as the Lot Operations Supervisor travels between




- High school degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred and experience working with

volunteers and/or people experiencing homelessness highly desirable

- 2-year minimum experience in supervising teams and training and coaching staff

- Excels at operating in a fast-paced diverse community environment

- Computer skills and proficient in Word and Excel preferred

- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills

- Attention to detail

- A valid California driver’s license, auto insurance (as required by law), access to reliable and

timely transportation to program sites and off-site meetings

- Background check (Live Scan) as necessary and required by funders or regulatory agency

- Must be available nights and/or weekends as needed

- Spanish speaking highly desirable

Compensation, Hours, and Benefit

• Annual Salary: $65,000-$70,000

• Hours: Average 40 hours per week. Work outside normal business hours, including occasional

evenings and weekends is expected depending on agency need. Exempt position

• 50% off site work at program locations / 50% In office

• Mental Wellness time off scheduled annually

• Alternative Workweek Schedule available / 9/80

• Lap top computer and cell phone provided, technology monthly stipend, mileage reimbursed
