Description

 

We are seeking a team oriented, Senior Video Producer who is energized by building brands, discovering, and serving audiences through relevant and compelling video content.  


You will develop and execute a visual strategy for Guideposts video content and its various brands and sub-brands, across all major channels. This role will be focused on creating and implementing compelling video projects that build awareness and engagement across platforms in support of reach and monetization goals.  The ideal candidate is highly organized, has excellent interpersonal skills and is well-versed in shooting and editing for a professional, consumer-facing organization. 


This role will lead and develop a team of freelance contributors to assist with execution of the vision for the video project (s).   You will work with content marketing teams to develop, ideate, and implement brand, audience, and organizational initiatives.  

  • Work closely with the Content team(s) to develop and implement a video strategy for Guideposts that elevates the brand identity and supports our overall mission  
  • Partner closely with the internal stakeholders to understand, develop and execute video needs.  
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop video that enhances the overall content strategy and connects with our audience(s) on a deeper level resulting in actions in the form of engagement, contributions, and revenue opportunities. 
  • Conceptualize and direct video shoots to ensure a consistent visual identity and quality aligned with audience personas and brand guidelines.   
  • Oversee and contribute to the reviewing and editing of content to ensure that visual standards are being met; edit video including raw footage from multiple cameras/videographers, including VO, and review video from other editors to ensure quality work 
  • Proven knowledge of editing for different visual styles, motion graphics and animation skills, branding, typography, color theory, and audio production.  
  • Reviews user and audience feedback to ensure goals are met for projects; ability to test, learn and iterate to meet goals. 
  • Understand various video platforms and best practices for each and ensure process in place to maximize views, discoverability, engagement and track analytics.  
  • Oversee budgets and ensure timely production of all projects. 
  • Manage the shoot and production calendar to ensure videos are completed in a timely manner; communicate with key stakeholders any changes to schedule or deliverables. 
  • Stay current on emerging digital and mobile trends for video consumption online and communicate them to the larger team to build competency and knowledge across platform creators.   


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years’ previous relevant experience is preferred 
  • Knowledge of YouTube Studio, Facebook Creator Studio, and Twitter Media Studio preferred 
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop preferred 
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and works well under deadline pressure 
  • Highly organized in the curation of project files and archives 
  • Well versed in SEO and video optimization for various platforms.
