American Spoon is seeking a dynamic retail leader to manage the operation of our Petoskey Flagship store location. The Retail Manager leads the daily operations while directing hiring, scheduling, training, merchandising, ordering, sales, financial reporting, and in-store customer service.
Retail Manager Responsibilities
Provide exceptional service, working to build long-term relationships between American Spoon and our customers
Function as an ambassador for the American Spoon brand, actively educating customers, staff, and the community about who we are and what we do
Serve as the Lead Merchandiser, planning and installing displays
Set, plan and implement actions to achieve sales and service goals
Collaborate with HR for recruitment, staffing, on-boarding, training, evaluation, scheduling mentoring, coaching, and providing positive leadership
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store
Manage appropriate inventory levels, stocking, stock rotation and ordering store merchandise
Operate our POS system, prepare, submit daily, monthly, and year-end store financial reporting data
Collaborate and openly communicate with the Marketing Brand Coordinator any market trends, promotional and sales opportunities
Previous history as retail manager or in other managerial position
Strong working knowledge of retail management best practices
Solid communication and people skills
Exceptional organization, strategic planning, sales ability, coaching, mentoring, management, and leadership skills
Strong style sense and an eye for merchandising
Strong Computer Operation skills with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong interest and knowledge of locally grown fruit and produce
Maintain high-standards and an unwillingness to compromise on quality
Exhibit a consistent positive-attitude and genuine friendly demeanor
Minimum three years of Retail Management and/or Leadership experience
