Description

GoldenWolf, a trusted advisor and facilities management support provider, is seeking a Proposal Manager/Writer, with federal proposal experience, top-notch attention to detail, and strong written and communication skills, to join our expanding Business Development team.  

GoldenWolf is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned, 8(a) certified small business, specializing in facilities engineering and lifecycle asset management. The company offers a broad range of project-based and professional services for Federal and Department of Defense agencies. Through its comprehensive services, GoldenWolf delivers the highest return on its clients’ investments by addressing all stages of an asset’s lifecycle: planning, acquisition, operation and maintenance, disposal. The Proposal Manager/Writer will primarily work on various types of federal proposal submissions throughout the year. In this role, the proposal manager/writer must be organized, task and detail-oriented, and accountable for meeting internal and external deadlines. The Proposal Manager/Writer should have a flair for translating technical solutions into a compelling story that highlights GoldenWolf’s value proposition while keeping the customer's challenges and needs at the heart of our proposals. The successful candidate will have proven experience with federal proposal planning, development, and execution.


This is a remote position and reports to the Director of Communications.  


Duties/Responsibilities 

  • Oversee and/or produce schedules, outlines, contact lists, agendas, proposal kickoffs and reviews, technical solution sessions, and other proposal-related documents, tasks, and meetings. 
  • Review and analyze solicitations. 
  • Develop compliance matrices and arrange for, or conduct, compliance reviews. 
  • Coordinate, assemble, check and/or schedule administrative functions in support of the production of assigned proposals. 
  • Manage multiple proposal tasks with, sometimes, rapid turnaround deadlines. 
  • Review all written contributions and data call responses for completeness and compliance. 
  • Experience incorporating incorporate win strategy/themes, benefits, messaging, differentiators, and/or solutions into proposal document(s). 
  • Develop and/or refine existing content, including project descriptions and resumes, for proposals. 
  • Maintain proactive communication with Business Development leadership to ensure smooth proposal processes and secure necessary resources for successful proposal development and submission. 
  • Collaborate with, and support, other efforts by business development, proposal, and subject matter experts and teams, as needed. 
  • Support other Proposal Operations activities (e.g., content and database updates, SharePoint library management, etc.), as needed. 
  • Assess the contributions to the proposal through final production, assembly, packaging, and submission. 
  • Participate in final quality check. 
  • Ensure proposal is delivered on time. 
  • Lead any post-submission activities, such as lessons learned discussions, clarification response, and final proposal revisions. 
  • Contribute to graphics ideation. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 
Requirements

 

Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of experience leading federal proposal efforts including IDIQ, IDC, MATOC, SATOC, task order, and/or standalone contract proposals, including SF330s. 
  • Experienced in writing and/or editing for proposals and/or other technical documents using AP, APA, Chicago, and other style manuals. 
  • Strong spelling, organizational, time management, prioritization, communication, and decision-making skills; attention to detail. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines, sometimes with short turnaround times, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, and/or holidays to meet proposal deadlines. 
  • Ability to work well independently and in teams, whether in-person or geographically dispersed, virtual teams. 
  • Skilled in developing original copy, editing, and rewriting for clarity, incorporating win messages, and “one voice” narratives, within technical documents and proposals. 
  • Be willing to learn and take direction as needed.  


Education and Experience: 

  • A Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, or related field required. 
  • Federal background and proposal writing experience is required. 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in proposal or technical writing is preferred. 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint). 
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to work remotely.

All GoldenWolf employees are required to be fully vaccinated by January 18, 2022 unless a medical or religious exemption has been granted. New employees are required to be fully vaccinated or seek and receive an approved exemption to the vaccination requirement by January 18, 2022. All exemption requests are subject to a review board. In the event an exemption has been granted, the employee must comply with all COVID-19 safety protocols mandated by our customers and the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force, including but not limited to frequent testing and attestation in compliance with the EO. Contract and site-specific vaccination requirements, if more strict, will take precedence over GoldenWolf's vaccination policy.


 

Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 annually. Compensation based upon experience and skill level.
