Position Description


 Fairstead is now seeking a Senior Procurement Manager in a growth opportunity to oversee the procurement of materials for development projects. This position provides support to the Design Build and Construction Management groups throughout the construction process. A strong applicant will exhibit a natural drive and a self-starter mentality to both implement and execute procurement plans and schedules. 


General Responsibilities 

  • Analyze key factors of Construction scope, material lead times, project specifics to determine the material needs of the project during renovation and construction 
  • Create procurement plans outlining the logistics, schedule, and bill of materials as it relates to material procurement 
  • Create and manage Procurement Schedules detailing the following: 
  • Material lead times 
  • Phasing plan 
  • Scope of Work 
  • Project specific requirements 
  • Target and critical start dates 
  • Create and implement a bill of materials that fit with project needs, budget, timelines, and Fairstead’s Brand Standard 
  • Evaluating current vendor relations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries
  • Establish expectations and implement processes to improve procurement
  • Conduct analyses of products and make recommendations to Construction and Predevelopment teams with factual comparison 
  • Coordinate between the Vendors and internal Predevelopment, Construction, and Procurement teams to ensure schedule, budgets, and standard goals are met 
  • Bid out and procure materials for various types of construction types
  • Provide support for Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Predevelopment in the daily operations of procurement across a national project portfolio
