Cybersecurity Sales Engineer

SUMMARY OF POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITY:

INTRUSION seeks a Cybersecurity Sales Engineer with 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent experience supporting sales teams as a technical subject matter expert on cybersecurity and networking solutions. Focus on ensuring successful customer engagement and implementing cybersecurity and networking products, services, and solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Consult with sales teams and customers to provide technical expertise regarding the implementation and account management of cybersecurity networking products and services
  • Contribute to sales through pre-sale / post-sales technical consulting activities
  • Demo Intrusions solutions
  • Provide technical support during sales presentations, product demonstrations, and installation of products to ensure the system is superbly functioning according to design
  • Assists the technical discussions in client meetings
  • Identifies and establishes business and technical needs, issues, and priorities.
  • Formulates responses to customer inquiries and questions
  • Dynamically and creatively adjust to the needs of the moment
  • Strong will to learn our product in-depth and its capabilities
Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ years of experience working with Networking and Cybersecurity solutions or equivalent education
  • Bonus if you have experience with networks (e.g., MLS, Routing Protocols, TCP/IP, VPNs, VoIP, Applications, Optical Networks, Wireless-Mobility, Security, Hosting, etc.). Bigger Bonus if you have a great attitude toward learning and growing with us

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY, AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • knowledge of customer networks and network technologies such as switches, routers, SDN, network security, and network security devices (NGFW, IDPs)
  • Working knowledge of client business drivers, applications, and networking industry trends
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effectively collaborate with internal and external cross-functional organizations and customers
  • Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to work well both independently and as a proactive team member
  • Excellent customer communication, interaction, and presentation skills
  • Kind, intuitive, open to learning & improving
  • Enjoys overcoming objections and solving problems
