The Material Specialist is responsible for ordering, expediting, receiving, stocking, and distributing spare parts and office/shop supplies. In addition, you will be responsible for inventory accuracy, ordering, receiving, and shipping transactions.

Duties:

Possibly Driving to Houston 3 times a week Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Daily Austin/Local deliveries and pickups, as needed. Shipping/Receiving when not on driving duties.

***Must have a 3 year clean driving record***

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsible for inventory accuracy, ordering, receiving, and shipping transactions

• Warehouse order picking/ kitting functions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for long hours
• Excellent attention to detail
• Computer literate.
• Updating stock inventory after each item is retrieved
• Managing stock control, including item replenishment and storage
• Performing general warehouse duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager
• Transport clients and/or packages to and from destinations
• Arrive at destinations on schedule
• Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups
• Use navigation applications to determine the best route
• A valid driver’s license and at least two years of driving experience to perform the job safely
• Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to find delivery      locations

• Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
• Report for vehicle repairs as needed to Warehouse Manager
• Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date

Qualifications/Requirements: 

• High school diploma / GED
• 2 years of continuous Receiving experience.
• Must possess sufficient skills to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must possess sufficient skills to perform basic computer applications including MRP and MS Office.
• Must possess experience handling equipment including and the ability to operate forklifts, medium, and small-sized motor vehicles.
• Must have knowledge of traffic codes and regulations.
• Must be capable of lifting approximately 50 lbs.
• Must have the ability to work in a production fast pace environment

Experience: 

• Forklift: 1 year 
• Receiving: 2 years continuous (Preferred)
• Shipping: 2 years continuous (Preferred)
