- Producing preserves that maintain our excellent quality and that are loved by our customers’ needs committed employees to process our fresh fruit by hand such as:
- Hand peeling and pitting Red Haven Peaches, Alcott Apricots, Harlayne Apricots, cutting Bartlett Pears, Fresno Chilis, Tomatillos, Poblano Peppers, washing and sorting Wild Blackberries and Elderberries
- Direct training provided
- Must follow all Federal, State, and local food safety regulations as well as relevant company food and workplace safety, security, and sanitation policies and procedures
- Must work as a team while maintaining social distancing [6 feet apart]. Face masks are optional and supplied by American Spoon.
- Primarily Involves sitting or standing and or combination for prolonged periods of time throughout the day [i.e. two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break]
- Flexible hours and days depend upon the ripeness of the fruit-typical Monday - Friday 8 am-5 pm hours of operation
Requirements
- Friendly, collaborative, committed to quality
- Follows and understands instructions
- Standing or sitting capabilities
- Some Lifting up to 10-20 pounds
- Must wear long pants, shirts with sleeves, and closed toed shoes
- Other dress code requirements discussed prior to starting
- Must always follow workplace etiquette
Position starts upon receipt of the Red Haven Peaches, typically 2nd or 3rd week in August
