Van Driver – Part Time or Full Time Position

Reports to: Manager of Office, Transportation, and Safety

Hourly - Non-Exempt

Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of consumers to and from the agency.



Key Result Areas/ Accountabilities

Responsible for driving agency vans and wheelchair accessible vans, transporting consumers to and from the agency.

Monitor passengers for any related problems and report problems immediately to Office Manager. Provide care and services to consumers in their care.

Vehicle Maintenance - Monitor vehicles for any maintenance or operational problems and report problems to the Office Manager.

Maintain agency vehicles and accompanying equipment in a clean, secure, and orderly fashion.

Reporting and Record Keeping - Responsible for completing required forms and reports accurately and in a timely manner.


Starting Pay:  $12.00/hr

Requirements

1. Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet agency insurability requirements.

2.Knowledge: Needs to know basic first aid, CPR, defensive driving, and behavioral management techniques, agency will provide training. Must successfully complete all training requirements of agency.

3. Skills and Abilities: Adaptability and Flexibility, Teamwork, Communication (written and oral), Initiative, Judgment, Planning and Organization, and Problem solving and safety conscious.

4. Physical Demands: Must be able to sit, walk, bend, stoop, drive or stand for long periods of time and be able to lift various weights. Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to: gloves, masks, gowns, face shields, shoes, ear plugs, etc. Must be able to follow all required safe and universal precaution practices during a pandemic and as required otherwise.
